Mount Kinabalu

After two longs months Offshore, I was able to come into Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia for 9 days of paid time on the beach. It's doesn't happen very often, but when it does it's like getting paid to venture into unknown territory for some site seeing and culture experience.
This is a picture of Mount Kinabalu. It is the highest mountain in South East Asia. Over 13,000 feet. After this picture (foreground of my wife and myself). We traveled up to the Starting point where you can walk to this mountain peek. We didn't have enough time and proper clothing and needed equipment to climb to the peek this time. Maybe I'll get a chance later this year. This was one of many things to do in Kota Kinabalu. It's must do if your ever in the Sabah Borneo region of Malaysia. Not a bad vacation spot to bring the family (older kids 12+) to have a great Eco Vacation. More things to do here than climb the mountain and scuba dive (Sucba diving is some of the best in the world here out of KinaBalu).

Highest Mountain in Malaysia

Looking Northeast from the beach line in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia early in the morning you can see Mount Kinabalu.... Another year of diving work in the South China Sea.. I hear some of the nicest scuba diving trip are ran out of Kota Kinabalu. Maybe this year I'll venture off the beaten path and see what I can see.....
