Buoyancy tank with compensator holding bracket/cage to be placed on 42inch pipeline at 182 FSW. ( feet of seawater) .
The Saturation diver will install this on the submerged p/l so the barge can bring this p/l back to surface for repairs. This isn't done very often. Once the p/l is lay ed at this depth it's seldom picked back up.

Burning at the waterline
This is a photo of a GDMC diver burning at P/F South Pass 77A ( CHEVRON /TEXACO ) just offshore of the mouth of the Mississippi river. The current here is so bad you have to hold on with one hand while trying to keep your rod burning where you need it. It wasn't easy each diver did 3 hours. at this depth , if you call it depth. Not only the surge and current but you had to tolerate the shocking from your body/ torch conducting when surge / waves put you out of water.
I want to congratulate all the crew on this job, there was not a single complaint from being there, aka bitching.
