Highest Mountain in Malaysia

Looking Northeast from the beach line in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia early in the morning you can see Mount Kinabalu.... Another year of diving work in the South China Sea.. I hear some of the nicest scuba diving trip are ran out of Kota Kinabalu. Maybe this year I'll venture off the beaten path and see what I can see.....

WISH YOU WERE HERE

Labuan, Malaysia is a place off the Borneo Mainland. Labuan is a small Island used mainly for Free Port and Energy Expediting Services. This picture is looking out from the WaterFront Hotel, I stayed here for a few days. There are a few Museums here all free to see. One has a full skeleton of a Blue Whale. There is another Art Museum that is very small but holds some really good paintings from local talent, it's well worth the taxi ride to get to it. Hire a taxi by the hour for 50 Ringets an Hour. In US $ equivalent to 16.60$ We kept the Taxi and driver for three hours, not only did he drive us, he was a good guide to all the attractions and local food there. Sea food is a must here. Go for the Chili Crab and Ginger Grilled Fish.

Terrorist Bombing

After Leaving the Maldives in January 2010. I went to Bali, Indonesia. This is a picture of the Memorial that was built after the terrorist bombing. A Night Club that was here was demolished. This Memorial shows all the names of the people that were killed that night. When you see this for the first time, you'll feel the emotion of what happened.

CATCH OF THE DAY

Sailfish (blue Marlin) was on the menu for new years dinner when I was in the Maldives. Not my favorite fish to eat, would love to catch one though.
People ask me why does my blog say "divingaroundtheworld"?
Quite simple my job consist of deep sea diving projects all over the world. So this gives me opportunity to see places that would cost a fortune to see or visit.
One fine day
